ACFS Safety Day 2021 COVID-19 Protocol (SDCP)

The SDCP is evergreen and will be modified to reflect applicable guidelines as the pandemic continues to subside between today and May 18, 2021.

Using the Occupational Safety and Health Safety Administration's (OSHA) approach as our guide, those planning, facilitating, speaking, teaching, training, vending, serving, and attending the ACFS Safety Day 2021 event will be encouraged to follow all applicable guidelines in the following order of adherence:

  1. The Rosen Hotels and Resorts Total Commitment Program (TCP) (See Below)
  2. Orange County Government Business Resources
  3. Florida COVID-19 Response
  4. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Considerations for Events and Gatherings

Upon review of all four guidance resources, the ACFS has determined that The Rosen Hotels and Resorts Total Commitment Program aligns with and often goes well beyond the basic guidelines provided by the applicable County, State, and National COVID-19 guidelines.

The key components of the Rosen TCP and how the ACFS will support it are as follows:

  1. All Safety Day 2021 guests, associates, vendors, and outside parties will participate in a non-invasive temperature screening when they arrive at designated entry points.
    1. Those displaying a temperature at or above 100.4°F will have their temperature retaken.
    2. Those with confirmed temperatures of 100.4°F and above will not be allowed in the building and will be asked to leave.
    3. Those whose temperatures are below 100.4 will receive a high-visibility wrist band that they must immediately place on their wrist and keep on until they leave the building at the end of the event.
    4. Anyone within the building NOT wearing a wrist band will be asked to immediately to go to the closest temperature screening area to follow through with the screening requirements above.
  2. All Safety Day 2021 guests, associates, vendors, and outside parties will, upon entry, wear their own mask and/or face covering.
    1. Masks and/or face coverings will always be worn except when eating or drinking in stationary positions.
    2. Masks will be available for those who may need them at any time during the event.
  3. All Safety Day 2021 guests, associates, vendors, and outside parties will be encouraged to maintain at least a 6-foot distance from other guests, associates, vendors, and outside parties.
    1. Event-specific signs and markings will be strategically placed throughout the facility to help everyone remember (See 4 below).
    2. Tables and chairs will be placed in a way that encourages and maintains at least 6-feet of distancing between guests, associates, vendors, and outside parties.
    3. Eating and vendor times will be staggered to reduce the numbers of guests, associates, vendors, and outside parties in any area at the same time.
  4. Signs and/or placards will be posted throughout hotel common and event areas to offer reminders of CDC guidelines on health and hygiene such as coughing and sneezing etiquette, proper handwashing, physical distancing, and mask wearing.
  5. ACFS Volunteers will be trained to monitor the event and encourage guests, associates, vendors, and outside parties to respect their peers by following the Safety Day 2021 COVID-19 mitigation strategy.
  6. Any guest, associate, vendor, or outside party who chooses to NOT follow these recommendations will be given the choice to align with them or leave the event and the premises.
